Tiny World
Bird Festival

This piece emerged from a personal Birdtober creative brief and I applied it within the larger Tiny World series, a body of work that explores the concept of home, and belonging through narrative illustration.

Rather than depicting each species individually, the intention was to imagine a temporary gathering space — a festival where diverse birds occupy and share the same field. By assigning each species a role at Featherlight Airlines Field, the work reframes biodiversity as community. The illustration suggests that “home” can exist not only as a fixed structure, but as a collective experience — a space created through participation, collaboration, and shared presence.

The aim was to celebrate ecological diversity while demonstrating layered composition and cohesive world-building, presenting habitat not only as environment, but as belonging.

Lunch Box Notes

In November of 2024 I started an idea I had called

I Draw Home

Once a month I send a stitched-together letter called I Draw Home, complete with a free lunchbox note — watercolor, reflection, and small reminders of encouragement.

If your heart needs a soft place to land, you are welcome here.

Summer Camp

My Tiny World Summer Camp is a playful watercolor escape into a miniature wilderness where wonder runs wild. Tucked within this hand-painted scene are the joys of summer—crafting in a cozy cottage, aimless hikes, splashes of lake water, and starlit campfires. Mischievous bears sneak marshmallows and add a touch of silliness, while tents and canoes invite you to imagine a world where every day is a new adventure. Dreamed up entirely from my imagination, this piece is a celebration of childhood nostalgia, tiny joys, and the gentle chaos of camp life.

Winter Village

The entire village is starting to hum along, just in time for Winter.  Everyone is learning to ski, ice skate and snow board.  Just watch out for those rogue snow people.
