Where the Gentle Things Begin | I Draw Home

The year ended without a neat bow.
Some seasons do.
The holidays were hard — harder without a home or a job — but held together by the kindness of family. A tree found for us. A shared home. Grace, in quiet forms.
Both of my boys stopped by for a brief visit. Nori 🐾 soaked it all in.
When I look back now, I also see the good things. Laughter when we’re all together. Long walks in nature. Owls appearing one evening at dusk. The steady joy that creating art continues to bring me, even when everything else feels uncertain.
Some roads are smooth. Some are rocky. Either way, growth is rarely loud. It happens slowly, quietly — often before we can see it.
You don’t have to see your wings for them to exist.
Keep going.
Keep becoming.
