Flora Lane

Where friendly neighbors know your name and flowers bloom beside every doorstep.

Abbydreamer_edited.png

Flora Lane is the heart of Tiny World, where neighbors gather, shop doors open each morning, and flowers grow in nearly every available corner.

Wander past cheerful houses, whimsical little businesses,

and the Village Green, where there is usually

someone stopping for a friend,

sharing a picnic,

or carrying home something

delicious to eat.

Check on the framed residents to learn

more about the creatures who live here,

including their favorite snacks, unusual

talents, and the small things that make

them feel at home.

There is always another door to open on Flora Lane, and there is always room for one more bloom and one more neighbor.

Meet the Neighbors

Flora Lane is home to an ever-growing collection of neighbors, travelers, shopkeepers, librarians, snack enthusiasts, and creatures who arrived by rather unusual means.

Scroll through the portraits to discover their favorite foods, everyday occupations, curious talents, and the small things that make them feel at home.

Hazel Fernwhistle

Hazel lives in a cozy acorn house and believes the right book can find its reader at precisely the right moment, not the other way around.  She loves gardening, gathering acorns, helping neighbors, and making sure the library welcomes everyone.

Favorite snacks: Candied Acorns, Acorn biscuits, seed cake, and tea served beside a good book.

If you meet Hazel:  Ask for a recommended Book, or a  recipe for acorns, or both.

Nigel Bramblewick spent most of his life delivering the world to others. Letters, postcards, news from afar. Now retired, he’s finally seeing it for himself, one place at a time. When he returns to Flora Lane, his suitcase is usually full of stamps, sketches, and peculiar souvenirs.

Favorite snacks:  Cucumber sandwiches, sea-salt crackers, or marmalade biscuits.

If you meet Nigel: Inquire about his postcards, and don't mention the incident in London!!
